Dalla history degli accessi a questo blog risulta che uno dei post piu' letti sia quello riguardante l' AIRE , l'Anagrafe degli Italiani Residenti all'Estero.

Sulla scia di quel "post di servizio" ho deciso di scrivere questo, su come re-immatricolare una macchina italiana in UK, passaggio obbligatorio per chi e' residente in UK perche' non e' possibile assicurare in Italia la macchina di qualcuno che non vi risieda.

(Noiosa ma spero utile) Step by step guide in 8 punti:

I) Andare al DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) e dire che volete reimmatricolare l'auto.

Vi chiederanno £55 per il servizio piu' una cifra variabile a seconda delle emissioni di CO2 della vostra auto, nel mio caso di auto di media cilindrata diesel £120.

V) Dopo qualche giorno vi arrivera' via posta il disco/bollo, il registration certificate (che sostituisce il foglio di immatricolazione) e la comunicazione del numero di targa, targa che dovrete farvi poi fare in un garage o anche on line . Come i piu' attenti si ricordereanno il numero di targa puo' essere anche comprato scegliendolo tra un elenco particolare, a prezzi dai £300 in su.

VI) Col numero di targa andare ad un garage, o ad uno shop come halford ad esempio. Costo una trentina di pounds, considerando degli adesivi per montarla se non volete forare l'auto per fissarla.

VII) Telefonare all'assicurazione inglese comunicando il nuovo numero di plate assigned.
