grande novità è la nascita dell'Associazione Alumni Petrarca Pallacanestro .

Un'altra iniziativa concreta per legare il passato al futuro passando attraverso il presente.

Lo scopo di questa Associazione è « diventare un punto di riferimento importante per le società appartenenti al Gruppo Petrarca Basket dal punto di vista dell’indirizzo formativo e del reperimento delle risorse economiche, favorendo in tal modo l’aggregazione sociale e la crescita culturale dei singoli e dei gruppi ».

Queste le sue finalità principali (con parole nostre):
• diventare un punto di riferimento per tutti coloro che, nel corso degli anni, hanno giocato, allenato per Petrarca Basket;
• raccogliere fondi allo scopo di sostenere e sviluppare l’attività delle squadre del Gruppo Petrarca Basket;
•promuovere attività formative rivolte agli atleti delle squadre appartenenti al Gruppo Petrarca Basket.

Anche qui, come per il Gruppo Petrarca Basket:
« La sede dell’Associazione è in Padova, via Delle Scuole 5.
Il simbolo della società è lo scudo crociato del Petrarca Basket e i colori sociali sono il bianco e il nero ».

said that " It consists of an unlimited duration, Petrarca Basketball Association named Group , without any political orientation or religious and non-profit organization, whose goal:

Ovvero quello che potremmo definire "un ponte" tra il vecchio glorioso Petrarca Padova e il nuovo ambizioso Gruppo Petarca Basket .

Molto importanti sono anche la sede (la casa), il simbolo (che spesso comunica di più di tante parole) e i colori della nuova Associazione.
Nello Statuto si legge:
« La sede del Gruppo Petrarca Basket è in Padova, via Delle Scuole 5.
Il simbolo della società è lo scudo crociato del Petrarca Basket e i colori sociali sono il bianco e il nero ».

There are reports and news. In the sense that, for all the interest that could encourage some news, there's always more interesting, that arouses curiosity in a particular way. E, senza voler aver ragione, noi del blog NON ufficiale del Petarca Basket, crediamo che oggi ci sia una notiza (anche se parlare di notizia è assai riduttivo) che merita la Prima Pagina.

La nascita del Gruppo Petrarca Basket .

Ebbene sì, signore e signori, « È costituita, con durata illimitata, un’Associazione denominata Gruppo Petrarca Basket , senza alcun indirizzo politico o religioso e senza scopo di lucro ».

Le finalità sono quelle di « coordinare l’attività tecnica e la gestione finanziaria, preparare le linee programmatiche per l’attività tecnica e la gestione finanziaria, essere punto di riferimento per la ricerca e la gestione di sponsor di un gruppo di società sportive che operano nell’ambito del basket patavino e che aderiscono formalmente e sostanzialmente alla visione dello sport qui presentata ».

La Visione - come viene chiamata nei documenti ufficiali - è forse il nodo centrale di questa nuova Associazione. Perché in essa si concentrano tutti quei valori che sono fondamenta indispensabili per la durata nel tempo di questo progetto.
« Il Gruppo Petrarca Basket svolge la sua attività credendo nei, e istanziando i, valori etici e formativi dello sport. In particolare, il Gruppo Petrarca Basket sostiene che si possa, e si debba, praticare e gestire l’attività sportiva sulla base della correttezza e del rispetto reciproco fra le varie componenti (atleti, arbitri, allenatori, dirigenti, genitori, sostenitori, avversari) ».

Non solo preparare atleti quindi, ma « uomini in grado di affrontare la vita ».
E sono quattro i punti principali che riguardano l'atleta.
« Il Gruppo Petrarca Basket chiede a ogni suo atleta, qualunque sia il suo livello,
• il desiderio e l’umiltà di imparare,
• la volontà di accettare la responsabilità per le sue azioni sia dentro sia fuori il campo,
• lo sforzo di stimare correttamente il suo livello di crescita tecnica/fisica/psicologica,
• di valutare imprescindibili la correttezza, l’onestà e la cooperazione ».

Una discussione (da bar) che appassiona da sempre noi del blog NON ufficiale, veri amanti della pallacanestro, è quella del declino del livello della nostra Nazionale. Pur avendo tre giovatori italiani nella NBA, da qualche anno siamo stabilmente nella Serie B del basket europeo. Come mai? Non è nostra intenzione, in questa sede, aprire una discussione sull'argomento. Ci limitiamo a dire che
(a) a livello giovanile anteporre il vincere campionati allo sviluppo di giocatori porta sì qualche titolo nella bacheca ma non produce altro;
(b) troppi giovani Players are "burned" by the coaches;

That said, we are very pleased to read these lines:
